A few weeks ago a friend created a game and there was a glitch so no men were ever placed on the board and we were all alive. We had to vote to terminate the game because it was messed up.

The game is considered terminated on Wargear, but ever since then I have had the 1 turn waiting notification on my account even though there are no turns to be taken

Can someone please manually just reset that for me?

You can reset it for yourself.  On your profile page there is a link towards the bottom the says

"Clear Cache"

Clicking that link will fix it for you.
