Looking at my boards this morning I found this discrepancy:

on the main Gunslinger board page:

http://www.wargear.net/boards/view/Gunslinger

it says: Games Played: 48482

When you click on "Games List"

http://www.wargear.net/boards/view/Gunslinger/Games%20List

It displays 3352 games.

I had thought the discrepancy was due to private games not being listed in the Games List, but I have a hard time believing there have been about 45,000 private games of Gunslinger.

Tom (or anyone) any idea what is going on?  

I think also tournament games are not counted?  But still that doesn't explain it.

I also noticed for my boards the # of games played seemed to make a huge jump (about 10x) a few weeks ago. 

I'd love to have some clarity/correction on what these stats mean.  (and then we should find a place on the wiki for it).

Just looked at Charts and got 3166 games of Gunslinger.  

I'm not surprised numbers are off a little (like maybe one counts dev games and one doesn't) but the 48k number can't be correct.

Looks like this is a bug with the stats reindexing code - every time the stats are reindexed, it doesn't zero the game counter! I'll look at fixing that bug then at the next reindex it will fix all the game counters.

Thanks Tom!  Can you tell us, is it all public/private/tournament/dev/etc. that are counted?  Or is just a subset of those?  Do games count if they are terminated?

It's all Public Finished games. Terminated games would be dropped on a stats reindex.

It should be fixed now everywhere.
