Without going through the list one by one I was curious if anyone knew of some boards with Card Capture off?  Some people in my playing group wanted to avoid a game with cascading turn ins leading to sudden victories.

If you find a board that you otherwise like, you can ask the board author for a scenario with the card scenario that you want.

A lot of board designers include escalating cards as a way to prevent boring stalemates.  But if players understand and are willing to accept the risk, why not?  (M57 gave me such a scenario in Fall of Rome.)

Atomic Transporters is a fun big map with a +20 elim bonus, but no card capture.

Dnaleri is a fun little map with a +8 elim bonus, but no card capture.

Another Brick in the Wall doesn't use cards at all.

castles is one of my faves.

Squirrels of Suburbia doesn't use cards...nor does The Lorax. There are several boards, including my Lord of the Gear Rings map, that use a static 5-unit bonus for all sets.

If it ever happens, I would love to play Civil War without card capture.
