Say I have a box in one layer, a picture inside that box in another layer and text in a 3rd layer.  I want to move them all down on the screen, is there any way of doing that all at once (in Paint.net) or do I have to move them one at a time?

I could merge the layers and move it then, but then I can't unmerge, right?

yeah, i think you'd have to probably do it one at a time. can't unmerge without a normal undo, which wouldn't buy you anything.

    But I can change,
    if I have to,
    I guess...

Can you select more than one layer at a time?  That's how you would do it in photoshop.

Oh Yeah, that sucks but no, you can't do what you want to do at one time.  I end up copying and pasting all the layers into new images, making the exact same change to all of them and the pasting them back into the same image as new layers.

If you are trying to move One object to a new position it'll suck and I would suggest just redoing the other layers after you have moved it if at all possible because the time it takes to do that will save you frustration and possibly more time than if you try to duplicate say a 50 pixil move down and a 25 pixil move to the right.  You'll be off a little, not notice until you've flattened and posted and then it's too late and you cry yourself to sleep.  At least that what happens to me.

Thanks.  That's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something -

You could cut and paste a layer, adjust the remaining after you flatten them and then paste, but I don't think that will help what you are taling about.
