I find the 'Turn Timer' column in the games view a bit useless. The turn timer only really matters in relation to the game turn limit. I would replace the 'Turn Timer' column with a new column 'Time until turn ends'. And then sort the 'my turn' games list by default according to that value.
I guess a lot of us play many parallel games, and while we love to take our turns, some days we have very little time to spare and just log in every couple of hours to take at least one or two turns. When you do that, you want to see at first glance which turn is the most pressing to take.
What do you guys think?
Fully agreed. So obvious.

i had a long story all typed out, but it boils down to this:
i don't think i'd like that type of sort unless i'm actually in the 'my turns waiting' view.
otherwise it's just clutter and clustering info i don't care about in my main screen.

That's what I meant. This new sorting as default only in 'My Turns'.

I'd also like the ability to sort/group by the game turn limit. I'm in lots of 1, 2, 3, and 7 days games and I take my turns more frequently for 1 day games, then 2 days, etc... Meaning, I'll step through my game list (sorted by the current turn timer) and pick out the 1 days ones, then the 2 days. It's a little of a pain, as I have to just step through my full list of games for that. But if I could sort on that, then I could see all my games grouped based on game turn limit and this would all be easier.
I'd agree this has some merit (although I may be a fan of an incremental counter (like the Turn Timer) too). You would have to semi-solve for Vacation as you would run down to 0 and past it (although it could just say Vacation rather than count negative or just sit at 0).
How about two columns:
'Game Speed' (e.g. 2 days / 3 days / 10 minutes)
'Time Remaining' (e.g. 1 hr 56 mins) column for active games?
With a setting in preferences for your default sort?

Brilliant
I'd love the ability to sort on time remaining.

sounds perfect! :-)

Doesn't your Sort get saved already?

This feature has been implemented. Please let me know if you find any bugs.
Wooo, that's confusing at first...although probably more because of how I've been used to the old system, in the end and after adjustments I think this will be nice!
I' m already missing the old sorting method. I would like to be able to sort by most recent move and see how long it's been since the last move. I don't see a way to do that in preferences. I miss it both in 'my games' and when using the player
Time remaining makes more sense in a speed game, but otherwise I have to look at the game speed column AND do the math for it to have any contextual meaning. Can there be a way to somehow toggle the functionality of the column?

Time Remaining is the calculation we used to have to do between Game Speed and Turn Timer right? So now we don't have to do the math...I think.
So if I want to see a list of games that are moving quickly (and that includes games on a two day timer where every one is active), how do I do that?
Those 7-day games are almost always at the bottom of the list
