So, I know that I can be in 10 active public games. I can be in 10 active tournaments. I had thought that private games did not count towards these numbers. Am I mistaken?
My guess is that the private games count as "active" games. In my opinion, that's the way it should be.
Private games are not limited in any way.
Hmm.. Is that a good idea? You don't have to shoot your own foot. Why not limit them to 10 too?
The reason I believe was around ensuring that Dev games have sufficient players which was a concern raised at the time.

Yesterday I was in 10 public games, and I tried to start a private game with a new player that was liberated from ToS. It would not allow me to and said "you are already playing in ten actrive games."
This is what caused me to post here.
Sorry I should have been more clear - you can join as many private games as you like but you can't start any once you have reached 10 active games.
Sounds like you could have the refugee start the game, or if they are confused by the interface, I could start it and invite the two of you.
