Yes, I know that but I find it unfair. So I wwish to get some support in order to have this rule changed (for future tournaments who will end with a complete tie).

I wonder if this is a case where SODODOS would work? This is a tie-tie-tie breaker that I suggested a while back when the system was last tweaked.

Off hand -- Five Rocket Cars should Get the trophy because (s)he played Wonder Woman twice.  WW has the best record and the toughest opponents of the non-winners).

It should be possible to play WG boards in real-time ..without the wait, regardless of how many are playing.

Any kind of tie-tie-tie breaker would be nicer than giving no trophy at all. At worse victory could be by rolling dice.

As another option for a tie-tie-tie breaker, it could be given to the player with the lowest ranking on the board, they probably deserve it the most.   Of course this still leaves the (increasingly infinitesimal) possibility of a tie.

M, it was round robin, so each winner played WW exactly once and won. All three performances are indistinguishable from a win/loss/matchup perspective. They each beat every non-winner, and amongst themselves had the circular, perfectly symmetric A beat B beat C beat A situation. Winning and deserving to win a tiebreak are based on asymmetries in matchups or performance, and there aren't any. This is as pure a tie as you can get unless you go down the Oz road of handicapping based on board ranking outside of the tournament. SODODOS won't break it because it is a w/l/matchup stat. (They beat all the non-winners, so the SODODOS contribution from that group is the same, and then it is the same contribution from each winner!)

I like the idea of handicapping tournaments - it works for golf after all! But it seems like it would have to be restricted to established popular boards for it to make sense.

Three trophies is fine with me. Do we even know what will happen? The tournament hasn't even ended.

Rolling for the win would be unsatisfactory to me from a competitive purity standpoint. But, if I were a hardcore gambler, I'd love this idea!

Oh,  you're right -- Hmm.. the game against WW show up twice when you go to the page of FRC's games.

Indeed, I am not sure what will happen although I am afraid no trophy will be given at all.

It has be discussed in the past : http://www.wargear.net/forum/showthread/1392p2/Solution_for_Tournament_Tiebreaker_Method

The only case of a true tie before the above mentioned tournament was given to fiveRocketCars as it was finished before the new rules were implemented : http://www.wargear.net/tournaments/view/366.

This is a bug. The game was actually played twice, it's not only a problem of showing up twice like it happens sometimes.

Is there really a necessity for frugality here?  Let each winner get their virtual trophy, I say!

I don't mind changing it to all tied players get a trophy if that is the consensus.
