I think I don't broke something.

So I was trying to figure out a way how I could write myself notes on strategies for a board.
Just a place I could take notes that I could find at a later date without having to chase through which game I'd written notes to self in.
So I decided to send myself a Private Messsage with the notes.

Unfortunately, now I can't get the message to stop blinking saying I have a new message.
Even when I open and read the message, it does not set it as "read" when I go back to the inbox.

And if you just tell me that's an "undocumented feature" (as those in my company call them) I'll just make sure not to do this again.

This is happening to many people, and I don't think Tom knows exactly why.

I thought the one that people have been complaining about is the "One Game Waiting" indication or the "New Messages" icon that shows when someone writes an in-game message.
I've had both of these problems and seen the forums posts about it.

I'm talking about the Private Messages (player-to-player) indicator in the top right of the screen.

Other people are having that same issue??

I haven't tried that so I can't say. There are still other message issues as well though.  I still get a message icon in my games list for my own messages, and they are delayed  .. often appearing 5 - 10 minutes after I have posted the message .  Tom is aware of these because I have posted it before.  It may be related to work he is currently doing on clocks and the chat system ..I don't know.. but they are only annoyances and do not have an effect on game play.  Tom's probably putting in overtime on the game-clock and will fix the small problems once that's in place.

PS - Apparently just deleting the message to myself got rid of the indication.  Maybe we just need to list that as an "undocumented feature" of the site.

Tom - If you want me to test this for you in the future sometime, I can send another message to myself to see if I can get back into the failure state.

Well, I've tested this one twice, and I can definitely recreate it.
Went to Messages, clicked on "New Message", put my own name in the "To:" field, and sent it.
Message is sent, then when I go read it, I can't mark it read, and my icon does the little blinky thing until I delete the message.

This bug has been fixed.

In-game messages that I post are starting to show up on my Games page as an icon and they're delayed about 10 minutes after I make the post.
