    I've noticed that when you are eliminated in a game with 3+ players, that your ranking goes down immediately. But how is this calculated when its unknown who is the winner? Because normally you lose more points when an 800 wins than when a 1000 wins.

    No, your ranking is not updated when you are eliminated but when the game is finished. So you know who is the winner...
