Team ranking scores have been added to the main rankings page, game completion messages, player profile and stats areas.
Team rankings are calculated on the following basis:
Team 1 has players with scores 900,1000 and 1400 - so the average is 1100
Team 2 has players with scores 700, 800, and 900 - so the average is 800
Say that Team 1 wins, so each players gains/loses (1100/800)*20 points.
Nice, and you did it for all the previous games.
Thanks Tom

So we now have a "tag team" division on WG. Great new addition!

Thanks Tom. No doubt more team games will be played now.
I guess tournament team games are not taken into account ?
Just for newbs to understand better, Tom actually meant : say that Team 1 wins, so each players gains/loses (800/1100)*20 points.

Yes that's correct - tournament scores are separate to regular gameplay same as non-teamplay games.

Maybe somewhat, but team games still can't earn you any CP's and that is what most people are after.

Not me -- I'm much more interested in a decent Global Score and H-rating. As there are more different type of boards out there, it's more and more tempting to assume that players "specialize" or play boards they enjoy and are better at. Tournament scores are a different type of global score so in that sense, they are more important to me than a CP's as well.

I'm definitely more choiceful about my partners and map experience now that these games are ranked.

Are you suggesting that the top team players on a board get regular CP's? Or are you suggesting that there be a completely separate CP system for team games only?

I would like to see team games counted into the regular "how good are you at this particular board" rankings. Look at the rankings on Tug of War for an extreme case of what is not happening.
