Very well balanced board with countries both with and without capitals. I could do without the massive capital advantage in fog of war games.

this is a fantastic board. i loved it the very first time i played it. Easy learning curve, excellent use of capitals (one of the best i've seen). once you grab one castle you might as well get as many as possible, then others must take a castle in order to kill you.
Many layers to the strategy, great graphics, balanced gameplay. Superb board!

Good graphics and excellent use of capitals. Provides the look and feel of classic Castles (for PC) games. Strategic game play is a must and luck factor is low.

good board, more user issues than i like. castles are a nice touch. causes you to change your strategy constantly

Awesome board with lots of strategy options. Pay attention to the castle rule. You can lose quickly if you don't.

There aren't many boards that are as nice as this one. It looks awesome and it has a great idea with the capitals. Do you take a castle or do you not take it? If you do you can lose on the next turn no matter how good you are doing. Learn to be careful with the castles and you will have a great game, visually and strategically.
