Temperature in the mid 50s (farenheit) today, very nice.
Weather projection for the next week has changed in the last 48 hours quite dramatically; from being highs in the mid-60s to highs in the 30s and 40s...disappointing.

I've spent some time up there for work (particularly Massena) and have felt like the people there need feet of snow they decide that maybe they should bring along a spring jacket to the outdoor picnic they're going to.
For the first real snowfall of the year it was fairly impressive. Most of the area got around 18 inches. In general, we get more snow then farther north (e.g. Massena) due to elevation and the winds coming off of Lake Ontario.
We moved to this part of NY last year. My wife went to work for a local school district and was told many times "We never close for snow." Which was a lie - they closed like every time it snowed.
SNOW!
We finally got a decent snowfall. Grab your sleds. Grab your skis. Build a fort and ready your snowballs. Winter is here!
Taking my wife on a surprise ski day on Monday for our anniversary. In laws are in town to watch the babies. Should be a lot of fresh powder, but also very cold.
I'm expecting 5-7 inches in my area tomorrow. Getting my pillow fort and book tower all set up.
I'm pretty sure if I go take a look, the local mountains will probably now be visibly snow-free (might be some left below the canopy), but not a lot. Saw the ski-runs on one of them, and it looked like a morse code signal :-)
Pineapple express for the 'win' (washing out the snow)! Our prize? Likely worse drought this year than last. grrr.
How is the pineapple express giving you worse drought?

Our snowpack is 40% lower than normal due to the rain / temperature melting the snow.
The local reservoirs depend on the slow release of meltwater into the summer.
Right now, no drought.
Come summertime, heavier water restrictions.
Makes sense - sucks that you are losing snowpack.
Ok. It is sunny and 63 F/ 16 C. Feels like 70. We are looking at a record high for the day.
Later today, they are calling for rain, hail, snow, and possible tornados, as we drop all the way down into the teens.
GG.
Yikes!
Can confirm tornado in central Ohio. Scary to wake up and not know one was near by.
