I'm seeing two messages (one from The Cooler and one from Thingol) that look to be "team messages" (based on their background color), but I can see the message despite

1. This isn't a Team Tourney, so no one is on any teams
2. I'm not in the tournament (I was invited, but I'm not joined)

Just wanted to point it out because it might indicate a problem with Team Messaging in a game being visible to non-team members, which defeats the benefits of team messaging.

Yep, those team messages are visible to me, as well. I also note that it looks like I can send a team message even though I'm not in the tournament.

It is a team tournament, but with random selection after the tournament fills up. So for the time being, I guess WG thinks everyone is on the same team since teams haven't been assigned yet.

I'm also able to send a message even though I haven't joined the tournament. I have been invited to the tournament, so I'm assuming that WG includes me in the tournament up until the point that it fills up and closes to the public

They revert to just your own team messages when the tourney starts

We've had it happen before where it is set to random teams it acts like we're all on one big team

I can confirm that a non-invited player can't see the team messages.
