Thoughts on if I should report this player (specifically the third to last comment), or if this is normal dialogue for the site?

Yeah - I would report it. I believe Tom will give him a warning. It look like he's a good player - with championship points and all - I.e. he has something to protect.

That's over the line in my opinion. I'd report him. I've also seen him get nasty with a friend.

Way over the line, in my opinion. Vulgar language is one thing, threats (even idle ones) are another.

Always your first course of action should be to repectfully ask for what you need, when everybody has had a chance to cool off a bit. If that doesn't get you what you need, then call in a moderator.

I personally don't think making a respectful ask is going to take you anywhere, specially on a lightning game where there is no time to cool off.
I also agree that threats are way over the line

Yeah, I was actually being facetious with my example. IMO, if someone gets to the point of threatening their just an immature internet tough guy, and asking nicely is very unlikely to get you anywhere. If it was me I'd just report the guy and try not to engage. Or depending on my mood I might try to sarcastically kill with kindness.

I think there is alot of good practice in asking for what you need. It works a surprising number of times.
The OP did just that, and I think is justified in getting some help. We do want to keep things kind up in here.
