Hi. I'm new here, playing in my first set of games. This may be a silly question, but in three of the games I'm in now, the turn timer is on 5 days, 4 days, and almost 3 days. All in one-day-limit games. The player (same player) is listed as "on vacation". Is that an option? Is there an actual limit on these turns?
Just curious.
Thanks.
'vacation' is a premium feature:
means that the player is going to be away for awhile and has set their account on hold. premium members get X number of days per year, to be renewed annually. there's no limit to how long (under that quota) one can set vacation for at one time (i.e. they could be taking all at once or just a few days/week).
currently there's no way of telling how long said member has vacation set for (that could be something we ask to be modified though).
EDIT: if you look at the player's profile (in this case), the last row of the player info says that said player is on vacation (this case until 2/5 -- meaning they'll play again by midnight switchover between 2/5 & 2/6 or they get skipped).
------
tldr: vacation is a premium perk and you'll have to wait them out.
next question, i'd have for others (my memory seems to be failing me much today!):
is a fresh newbie still limited to 10 public? games or are they getting the 1mo free premium? do private games count towards ten game limit (what are the limits and caveats)?
oh and BTW, welcome! and love the handle, nice play on words.

You can see on their player profile. For example:
http://www.wargear.net/players/info/Mongo
Last line in the table:
On Vacation | Until 2 / 11 / 2015 |
I guess they could always extend it though, so you don't know for sure.
