    I am about 80% done implementing the first draft of my idea.  Hopefully it doesn't suck, because it has been a lot of work so far.

    haven't made any progress since this thread. haven't figured out how to make the layering work well for the one, and haven't had time to devote to graphics for the other, and noone's interested in a challenge (or at least not PMd me about it) for the third.
