Good Risk variation board. Basic gameplay with the twist due to the strongholds. Nice board to play on for those looking for command and conquer gameplay with a LotR theme!

The defensive minded land-grab boards just have a stagnant quality to them. I think it's implemented well, and one can pull off some marooning tactics that play out well. Just never excited to take my turn. Matter of taste than quality of map. Graphics push it from a 6.1 to a 6.7.

The strongholds can are a great addition to a standard style game play.

I've only played twice so far, but both games were interesting, even the game I lost. Smallish board, which can be nice. And being based off of Lord of the Rings is a bonus for me. I'll definitely play again.

Board is well done. Capitals give it interesting twist, as do odd borders in the middle. love that it is middle earth.

Very nice graphics. Dice modifiers are a nice touch, but nothing about game-play really gets me excited. Maybe it's that there are not enough choke-points, Mordor is really the only continent that gets your attention in that regard on this board.

Graphics are strong. I don't know what it is about LoTR maps, but they definitely bring out the defense-minded dice modifiers; thankfully, this one doesn't plant them in the middle of choke points or anything crazy like that. It's small enough to be interesting, so the games are always entertaining.
