Fortify mappings seem to be fixed. Excellent board that lends to significantly different gameplay than most games. I like having all the choke-points and the narrow passages also make for interesting tactics. Well thought out.
Great board, I prefer the Castles and Towers version but they are all really good. Great choke points, clear and satisfying bonus structure, just well done.
A favorite. Excellent strategy with tunnels and dice modifiers. Adding towers adds more strategy. Fog settings obscure but can also be revealing in the same sense. Large groups and teams are accomodated, but absolutely not needed.
I really enjoy this one, one of the larger ones that doesn't get stuck easily with impasses. Fun bonus structure, as you need to read the board, secure a bunch of crystals before you nab a castle. Good for 5-7 I'd say, could be quite fun as teamplay with transfers enabled.
I really like this board. I can't quite place my finger on it, but there's something quite satisfying about delving through dark tunnels, hoarding shiny gems, and hunkering down in your castle to protect your trove. The new scenarios add some welcome twists as well.
@Ceggon, you roll a D8 instead of a D6, the minimum doesn't increase.
I like this board and this involves a lot of sacrifices and careful planning. The cards do seem high but it really makes the game work better.
Interesting board. I think the card system is a bit high, though I have been told the base bonus poeple can rack up when they hold lots of castles and gems is comperable.
One issue, the game calculation for the axes (+2) seem to be broken. I rolled a 1,1 vs a 5,2 and I lost 2 armies (looks to me like it should have been one each i.e. 3,3 vs 5,2). Unless I rolled a -1 and my modified roll was a 1, something is a bit off.
Overall a creative board with interesting game play.
