Board Description

1776 by Cramchakle

A Battlefield Simulation of the Siege of Boston, circa 1776. The siege is well under way, and the British have already taken control of and fortified Bunker & Breed's hills.

Take control of Washington's Army as you try to drive the British out of Boston, or, fight in the name of the King and crush the American rebellion at this pivotal battle in the American Revolutionary war.

Each territory has a terrain icon which designates its properties. Use the key at the bottom of the map image to determine the attack, defense, range, and bonus for each type of terrain.

Base board design is for SimulGear play.

Special Notes:

Cannons have normal 2-way borders to the adjacent territories; not artillery as they do to all other territories in their range.

While water spaces generally grant no bonus, an exception is made for the "British Reinforcements" water space in the channel. This space represents the value of the British ocean-going supply lines during the siege, and Henry Knox's arrival with heavy artillery at Dorchester Heights to cut them off.

Forts are capitals. If you occupy none, you will be eliminated.
