Board DescriptionThe map shows women's earnings as a percentage of men's earnings in each of the fifty states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, based on data from the 2007 American Community Survey. That year, median annual earnings for women in the United States were $34,278, equivalent to 77.5 percent of men?s earnings. However, in Alabama and Mississippi, median women's earnings amounted to only 72.9 percent of median earnings for men, placing both states near the bottom of national rankings for gender wage parity (Sources: U.S. Census Bureau, Wikimedia Commons). I thought "Why not reward those states who are closing the inequality gap?" Any state where the equality is 80% or above gets 4 units for having the horde. Any state where the equality is 77.5-79.9% gets 3 units for having the horde. Any state where the equality is 77.4-73.4% gets 2 units for having the horde. Any state where the equality is 73.4% or below gets 1 unit for having the horde. Washington can attack Alaska, and vice-versa. California can attack Hawaii, and vice-versa. Florida can attack Puerto Rico, and vice-versa. See more at: http://blogs.edf.org/restorationandresilience/page/2/#sthash.jSvAiAgJ.dpuf Gameplay Settings
