The # of units of each member is summed. If the sum is Greater than the Minimum Unit count, the factory is filled.
This is a way for designers to give “points” or “value” to territories.
It could be used in many situations where the designer needs the board to “Count” units.
Examples of uses:
If Min Unit Count was used with the Markers on the War of the Roses board.. A hand-full of factories with all markers as members with a threshold of 50 could simply AutoCapture all player's capitals and end the game.
A designer could set all territories as a continent and set a number of units needed to win the game, and much more complex variations on this theme using different sets of members.
