Just wondering, does anyone know if there is a difference between private messages and team messages in a two-player-per-team game?

Significant differences. I don't think color really affects anything.

One thing that might make a difference - you can have different settings. I have one giving me an email alert whenever someone sends me a PM. That does not happen for a team message. I think this is fairly common, so I always send a PM rather than a team message if I want to say something to my teammate after the game has ended, I feel it's more likely he'll see it then.
