I voted.
Glad for the option to not have to vote for some of the boards. There were only 6 of those listed I would care to try a RT tourney on.
I think the # of rounds needs to be considered depending on the board chosen (kinda depends on how many show up too). So might need to keep a backup board ready.

Number of players (for multiplayer games): 4-5
Game speed: Real Time - Fischer clock
Public games
Fog level: Board default, If none, then up to medium
I voted awhile ago.
#players: 4-5
game speed: 1 day (prefer that over Fischer) as long as everyone agrees to take turns with relative speed. This would still allow for a small break agreed upon, whereas Fischer would not.
Public games
Fog level: light
Weathertop: Or you can have one screen for the tournament, and one screen for the real time public games
In fact, this should be reason enough for me to join.
I'm going to borrow my wife's home computer this time so i have a couple different screens
Reminder for those just now looking at this thread: Vote on your favorite boards at the links above, we'll use that poll to decide on the initial games and tourney we play on the 16th

Do you WarGear on a 46" screen?
it's the only screen i have. i've got my DVD, XBOX and PC connected to it. and since i've cut the cord i get all TV thru the PC; so...there's that too.
granted I sit 6-8 feet back from the screen, so I still need my glasses to play WG on that screen, otherwise the units are too small to see.

How do you make your attacks? You have the keyboard with you?
yeah, wireless keyboard/mouse with the dongle on the tower.
cool
apologies. missed the vote because I wasn't paying enough to time zone changes...
No worries, Shredder, if there's a game you really want to see during our real-time meet-up, you can create it and get others to join.
We'll start with the games chosen by the poll, but we don't need to be limited by that
Speaking of which, we have our choices for this coming Saturday! Check out the links to the results:
Based on the votes above, we'll start with Gunslinger for the tourney (and Mall of the Dead if we want a 2nd one)
For multiplayer games, the favorite is Invention, and Random Mazes comes in second, so we'll try to fill those two first.
Uh oh. I've never played any of Gunslinger, Mall of the dead and Invention. Saturday doesn't look so tempting anymore.
So, regarding the other details, here's what I have based on people's comments:
Turn timer: Tourney -1 day turns; mutiplayer games - fischer clock
Number of players (multiplayer games): 4-5 players was the top preference. Tourney: Maybe 6 players? We can see how many folks are logged into Discord on Saturday.
Public vs private: All public games, so other folks will be able to join, if they wish
Fog level: We're all over the map on that one. I like weathertop's suggestion to go with board default, but given the different views on this, one could be medium fog or higher, and another multiplayer game can be no fog or light fog.
So, the most important piece of info is that we'll meet this coming
Saturday, March 16, 12 noon EDT (9am PDT, 5pm UTC+1)
And we'll be making real-time decisions on Discord at:
See you then!
^ Tournaments have a minimum of 8 players.

I've never played Gunslinger, and I find Invention to be an elite game at which only players a tier or two above me succeed & enjoy.
Ah, well.
Mall of the Dead, on the other hand, requires newbies to know a couple things (e.g. where the neutrals are initially placed) and it isn't fair (e.g. you can get eliminated before your first turn), but it is a lot of fun!
I enjoy Invention a lot but I placed it a bit down my priority order because it's difficult to play well playing fast if you haven't done a lot of games on it.
Can anyone who voted for Gunslinger invite me to a private game on it? Never tried it.
