I honestly feel that the NEW default board is better than the old default one. But always love me some invention.
Yes me too. I usually only play the old version by mistake, and am always a little disappointed when I realize what I did.
Well, your dissapointment was still one of the best boards on the site. v2 is just better.
Yeah I messed up twice.. I wish the new version of the board was the default when you start a new game or tourney. I'm just now getting into tournaments. Once again, my apologies to everyone. I'm seeking professional help though, and I have a social worker now.
no worries! I can't remember - maybe another designer can remind me - is there a way to set what the default scenario is?
I think it is the first in alphabetical/ascii order

This is definitely not true. I've seen several boards where that is not true. And I'm also reasonably sure that there are boards where the default version has been changed.
As to how to change it, I, of course(as a non-designer), have no idea.

It is alphabetical. The easiest way to control it is to put a number at the beginning of each scenario.

Looking again, yes, you are right. I was mistaken.
I was right that about the default version changing on a board (long before I joined WG), but that's because the board creator changed the names of the scenarios. (Talking about http://www.wargear.net/boards/view/Five )
What's odd is that the scenario for this tournament didn't show up under the board name on my name list. And when I go to a game page:
http://www.wargear.net/games/view/647123
There is no 'scenario' row.
I think it must be because this scenario is all 'locked', so it really is not considered a scenario at all by wargear. In some ways that makes this the 'default' scenario, but when you 'create a game', the scenarios do show up in alpabetical order.
I'm going to try and unlock something in this scenario and see if that is enough to make it show up as a real scenario.
I think that fixed it, so at least now it shows the scenario name instead of being blank.

I've seen that happen before.
See this tournament: http://www.wargear.net/tournaments/view/2406
The board has 3 scenarios. But this tournament got created with none of the 3 scenarios, but something completely different. Can't explain why or how it happened.
