    Sorry for entering late.  Here is a simple workaround, but it feels a bit hacky.

    Everybody has an off board capital, AND an off board factory that will kill the capital.

    When you achieve the goal you take that off board factory for everyone.  And everyone kills themselves when they next take their turn.

    BTW what happens if you have an off board territory, and show up with no on board territories to place your minimum troops on?  Can you take the turn at all?

    M57 once called this the "Handshake Round".  

    A round at the end of the game where you can't do anything (you just hit the button to end your turn) and you eliminated at the start of the next players turn.  You can take the turn as long as the board doesn't require you to place the number of troops you end up with in hand (It's permitted to save your reinforcements).

    Yep, we got it working some time back. The offboard capital, it was. And a factory-capture location once you attain the map goal, which allows an attack to the offboard capitals. So, the elim process becomes standard.

    That's great!

    But what if you eliminate a player from the playable board before attaining the goal? There's still no solution to that without on-board capitals, right? I mean the proper elimination which allows card capture and elim bonus.

    The updated Ravenloft, version 2.0 is now available, along with the additional scenarios.

    The Unique Personas scenario, my personal favorite, also allows for 2v2 teamplay.

    I'm also working on a team 4v1 game (heroes vs Strahd), but the designer keeps bugging out on me after I finish (lots of territories suddenly go away). Not sure if it's because this would be scenario 14 on the map or what's going on, but it's done it to me twice now.

    Can't get out of 13 on Ravenloft? You have been cursed!

     

     

     

     

    Given that scenarios are in fact unique boards, having lots of scenarios shouldn't cause bugs, but only Tom can give you a definitive answer.

    I've had problems with the Designer not showing all factories if the board has around 3k or more. How many territories does the scenario have?

    It’s got a few hundred territories. It all comes down to the removal of one of the colors. The scenario I’m baselining from had 6 players and the one I’m going to has 5. All my changes take until I try to remove the one color. I’ll have to experiment with changing some rules, then try removing the color, then switch the rules back.
