I've settled on Edward Nygma's Capitalism II: Small Business: https://www.wargear.net/boards/view/Capitalism+II%3A+Small+Business/. I considered the first one, but it seems a bit unwieldy and complex (I may have played it at one point?? no recollection) -- it looks like the second version is more streamlined, and with a rating of 8.5 and only one game played in the past 4 years seems like a great candidate for BRG!

Here's a warm-up game to get prepped for a slough of games in July: https://www.wargear.net/games/join/81318631

Hello all, I started to get the risk itch again. I have been really busy with having a wife and baby girl, but my work has transitioned to be more office based recently so what the heck.

Hi Abishai good to have you back. What's the origin of your profile image? Is that a Carvaggio?

Cover of the single "Unstoppable" by ES Posthumus. I would study to their music in college. Good eye though, I looked it up and it is a Carvaggio, David with the head of Goliath

Did David really decapitate Goliath? Too long since I read the story.

I do know David was favourite to win. The modern view favours the bigger man, but back then the slingshot was a serious weapon. So anyone speaking of a "David vs Goliath" encounter in terms of a huge underdog win has misunderstood. They tried to make the battle equal, and didn't quite succeed.

Yeah David cuts off his his head with Goliath's sword. Sling is definitely an underrated weapon, and if you have several hundred of them you could make a powerful band of skirmishers. Just one vs an armored opponent though, the slinger has to land his shot perfectly.

    OK, thanks.

Yeah, need to land it well, but armour is heavy and impedes movement, so the slinger should be able to maintain distance and can just pelt him until it hits.
