Thanks guys.  I hope no one minds if I share some background.

Land&Sea was my first map on Wargear.  I had made a few games back on The Old Site, but I'm not sure if they ever got published - or more correctly I think TOS didn't have a publication system?  I can't remember - anyway they were never completely finished, so this was my first real map.

I think I wanted to make a world map since that seemed like it would help with popularity (so much with that theory!).  I always thought it seemed like wasted space that you couldn't use the oceans for much in the standard Risk map, and the hordes mechanic was new (to me) and fun, so it seemed like an obvious combination.  I just put harbors everywhere there were land "bridges" in the original map. 

I think it plays ok.  The standard scenario is probably the best.  Reviews are pretty bad for this board - but a lot of the negative ones are people who didn't understand how the capitals scenario worked, so the rating should be a few points higher, if you didn't count those.

It's a bit uglier than my other maps.  Not that I'm much of an artist, but I'm a decent craftsman now - I know my way around photoshop a lot better than I used to.

You can take a look at Pangaea & Panthalassa for basically a re-imagining of this map with cleaner execution:

This is one of my maps I would almost rather just delete (or fix -- but lack of time/energy/desire..).  The other one being Maze Maze Maze World, which really does not play well - but I'm not sure how to fix that one either...
