In the Ancient Isles map there is an added defense bonus for attacks over water. Although, in the games I have played I have noticed that I usually do better in over sea attacks then land attacks. This isn't to my advantage because I've used strategies that account for this added defense bonus, such as weakening a territory with my land armies before bringing armies over from the sea. A land attack is 4v4 dice which means 25% attomatic kills for the defense. A sea attack is 5v6 dice. I know that 6v6 dice have about a 1 to 1 kill to death ratio. Whice of these dice fair better and by how much?

6v6 dice attacker loses .85 guys per defender  (all #s on average)

4v4 dice is almost exactly an even split with slight defender edge.

5v6 dice attacker should lose 1.4 guys per defender.

Probably horrible. We've all been there. It's when the dice break our way that we tend not to notice.  =)
