Lost a game, got two game result emails (same game), seems to have re-calculated my score twice.

Hey Asm,
Tom will probably get to this eventually, but in general the response is that the (weekly?) recalculation of rankings will clean up any problems like this.
Oh, smooth. I didn't know that existed. Problem solved, then.
Is there like a FAQ somewhere for newbies such as myself to get a sense for how things tend to work around here?

Ok - player #230. :)
There actually is a FAQ on the wiki:
http://www.wargear.net/wiki/doku.php?id=general:faqs
But I don't think this issue is there (or anywhere else on the wiki).
I recently added that "Common Forum Topics" section to the faq (http://www.wargear.net/wiki/doku.php?id=general:faqs#common_forum_topics) to try to have a place to put the actual typical reason for having a FAQ, and this conversation should probably go there. I'll try to remember to add it later when I have more time, or feel free to add it yourself.

Newbie, HAH! You were dominating this site before most players here ever threw their first virtual dice. Nice try, Gramps.
Of course, the site has grown a bit, and there's an FAQ. The difference is that now it's OUR responsibility to populate it with information.
This does occasionally happen - I've run a stats reindex this morning which should fix any duplicate points issues.
Word. Thanks!
