I just recently had this happen to me in three games. Started vacation on Saturday (1/24/15) through to today (1/26/15), and got skipped.

Be sure you're taking your turns BEFORE you end your vacation. If you don't it'll skip all your games when you hit end.

Been gone a while. You all did a good job holding down the fort.
I thought that too but in this case when I looked at the game Ozyman linked, Stalinski was actually still listed as on vacation.

Honestly, I can't remember the other two, and I've deleted the email notifications, but I appreciate the quick response and resolution! I won't worry about the other two.
