I see there are 8 special players with over 1000+ games...seems like this occasion calls for a celebratory luncheon...
how many of those are 2 player games?
Being a member of the Millenium Club, I will pay a beer to celebrate to any WG player. Belgium is one of the most famous countries for good beers. Let's do that in Brussels...
Half of my games are 2 player games.
8 players above 1000 but I guess a few more if you add Tournaments games.
I think Dud should be given a golden card as he is over 2000.
If DEV games count I'm at 1343 or so... though I'm only in the 500's for ranked games.

I'm in about the same boat (though closer to 1000 and 450). About half my games these days are dev games.

Yes, Ed. Designer's are an under-appreciated lot. But then ..we have our own club.
Damn! I forgot the secret handshake.
yeah but our club hasn't been having beer meetings.
I am at 934 ranked games with 402 Dev games and 450 tournament games. Maybe I can join the club by the end of the summer but I haven't been playing many ranked games lately. I am up for having a beer, but Brussels is a rather long commute for me.

It's far, but it's worth it...

1167 total / 448 ranked.
Maybe players eliminated would be a better number to go by
I like it. Sets the bar higher for we who play quickish duels. Dud will probably be the first player to reach 3000 "hits". Seriously, more than an elimination per game! (right now - 2702 eliminations in 2096 games)
Maybe the Double Double: +1000 games and +1000 eliminated?
This Millenium Club is going to be pretty exclusive... :)

Not to diminish this stat, but I would have said that averaging an elimination per game isn't that surprising. Especially for someone who is high in the rankings.
For a player like Dud:
He's definitely winning more games than he loses.
For each win, he is eliminating at LEAST 1 opponent (to take the win)
And more likely than not, if he's in the lead, he's probably taken out more than a single opponents.
(for this not to be true, than most of his wins would have to be someone else eliminating everyone else, and then he just takes out the winner)
So given those facts, he only has to average 2 eliminations per WIN (not that difficult) to be averaging more than 1 elimination per game.
Same is true for all of you who ride the top of the leaderboard.
Now, for someone us bottom-feeders whose win percentage has rested comfortably in the mid-teens...this feat would be considerably more difficult.
Well, he's not winning more games than he loses, but that isn't surprising either (plays a lot of > 4-player games). No, the numbers aren't surprising, but they are impressive.
As soon as I entered that, I actually went and checked his stats and saw that my assumption (he's a high ranking player tourney player, so he's probably high on the other rankings, and therefore is likely has a high win ratio) I should have checked my stats before I opened my mouth. Despite this, however, the argument still stands, it just changes from every win being 2 eliminations to every win being 2.5, for instance, which is still not unreasonable.
But back to the point at hand, I agree that his numbers are amazing, and he probably deserves a plaque or something. Maybe a full size statue of Tom, riding a horse, on a hilltop.

IMO, eliminating players should not be a goal in itself. I saw so many games where players get eliminated for no reason, despite the fact it was not worth it. It makes me mad when it happens to me. At the end, this elimination would even cost victory to the one having done the elimination. So this is encouraging bad playing.
Also, I find this elimination count could well be the reason why some players don't accept surrenders. I advocate for surrenders being encouraged when there is no more hope and especially in 2 player games (or when only 2 players are left). Speeding up games should be a goal, so an elimation point should be given also in this case.
