If played correctly, this board is basically an overly complicated game of Russian roulette.
To win you:
1) prevent others from gaining bonuses
2) wait for someone else to goof
3) wait for card values to get high enough that a player can be wiped out on a single turn
4) hang on to your cards so that when #2 happens you are ready.
Is there some strategy to this? Yes.
Does it feel rewarding and fun? No.
I like the board visually, and the concept is excellent. However, this game requires a lot of thinking about what bonuses to attack on each turn, and plays like a light fog game, so it can lead to players ganging up on the strongest player
Looks very nice, has good gameplay. But way too much effort is required to find ways to maximize bonuses... always flipping to continent details is very tedious. There are other boards that make use of the same game mechanics. Loved the show as well, really wanted to like this one.
I like it, but I don't :p Graphics are amazing and superb, gameplay is overall cool and fun, but attempting to match up the icons with the addresses is quite cumbersome. This plays a big role in both attacking and bonuses so it's a pretty big part of the gameplay. Overall though, the game can be played without getting super annoyed, and also I don't have a better idea for it to even suggest, so that's just the type of board it is.
Again, good gameplay overall, may not be for everyone but good original experience!
only one game on this board, but i loved it! excellent graphics, unique gameplay. Return to attack from transfer is very interesting when you can transfer to all owned territories, think i could've used that feature better. Balanced board, and really fun! Superb job!
So far I've tried 4 different approaches to this board. All were competitive but none successful. A really hard board to play but I like that I've seen people come back almost from extinction to win. Nice Job!
The board is beautiful, well thought-out, and hard as heck to play. I played it once, and got my ass handed to me in tiny little pieces. Might be easier with no fog, but I doubt it.
