A difficult board to master but a fun one to play. Always leads to fast games which is a plus in my book.

A premise from a chess board, add a few dice and some imagination and it equals fun. I've enjoyed the 2 player version in a tournament setting. I need to play it more and try the other scenarios.

I like the concept, but luck plays way too significant of a role.

I've only tried the two player version, but I really like the idea behind this board. Once you read the rules, it is really straight forward.

Very good board. I read the 2 player scenario favours the first player, but all three games I've played so far were won by the 2nd player so it can't be that bad.

I don't play 3 player games regularly, and the 2 player scenario heavily favors the first player, but the multi-player game is a lot of fun, +1 to everything else Bex said about board.

I love this board, both the stripes and 3-player 8x8 variants. It's a clever idea and the strategic options are endless. Still, there is a little room for improvement. On the smaller board, the initial setup can be completely outcome determinative. On the larger board, the tweaks to starting units aren't quite there; many players seem to offer to surrender on the second turn. But once it gets going, it's an absolute joy to play.

The large board is the best variant of this.

I really want to rate this higher because I like the concept quite a bit. In fact I'm surprised it hasn't been done before since it's such a great idea for a board.

My objection basically comes down to the fact that certain squares do not have knights, removing them from the attack sequence and creating dead ends. The challenge to a board like this, in my view, should come down to planning a route to maximize the utility and efficiency of your attacks and fortifies, given the constraint of knight-like movement - but in practice the greatest challenge is not your opponents or your strategy but in navigating the arbitrary path restrictions created by the board design.
