I love this board. Great use of capitals (though I have seen a few players not realize they were capitals when taken) and also great use of artillery borders and dice modifiers. I love the symmetry too so that that each side of the board plays the same way. And of course the graphics are very pleasant to look at. All around good stuff.

I really like this board. I will basically echo Ratsy's comments below. It actually works fairly well for 2 players as well as (slightly) larger groups. Very interesting tactical issues to contend with. I disagree with Stalinksi's comment - I don't think it's that hard at all to grasp the concept behind the continents, particularly since they're symmetrical - there are only 3 or 4 'types' of bonuses to gain on the board.

The one complaint is that I feel the capital in the middle should be made much more obvious. It's only mentioned in passing in the board description and not even explicitly.

One of my all-time favorite boards. If I lose I always feel I was out played or made a mistake; it never seems to have the game just given to someone by the starting position. Best tournament board ever!

This board is well balanced, big enough that there is some room for error, and allows for lots of different opportunities and strategies to win.

I like the layout, and would recommend it with more than two players. It'd be perfect, but it has some learning curve, and there are definitely ways to make mistakes. Watch out for the capital in the middle.

Great board to try, learn and play.

Hard to know which areas are which unless you are versed in medieval history. Needs some color coding.

The layout of this board is really interesting. Makes it difficult to hold continents. the concept is good, and the board plays well enough, but the disjointed sides and cumbersome continent bonuses are not my style. Give it a try though!

I didn't quite get it. Got hosed. Put a bad taste in my mouth. Don't agree with this review until trying it yourself. You'll probably never see me playing with you though.

Amazing board, great gameplay, fantastic choke points, difficult boarder modifiers. This is the ultimate tournament board. Great job.
