Friends and fellow Sleestak,

The vast and mighty empire our ancestors knew is now falling away to the whims of great mother Earth. She has called upon the gods of Ocean and Earthquake to split our lands apart, casting our tribes adrift like so many scales tossed upon a boiling sea.

Bitter conflicts will arise. With knife and stick, Sleestak will rise against Sleestak. The knowledge of the past will be obscured, and your sight will be limited to mere mortal bounds.

Seek then the ancient Pylons, hidden away on wayward isles. They contain many mystical powers, which will be revealed to those who enter. Use them to unlock the mysteries of the ancients. And unite our scattered realm, once and for all. If you do not, our Sleestak race will indeed be living in a land of the lost.
