Colors Tab

So, there's actually more going on in this tab that might first meet the eye, because the colors also controls a lot of the features important for boards with setup-based scenarios. We'll go through each column and what it does in turn.

Seat

This column lists the seat number associated with each color. This only matters if you select one of the options in the Rules tab, under Initial Setup, to lock starting bonus and cards to seat number (or color) and to lock seat number to player color. If you want to change which seat number is associated with which color, you can use the green ↑ and ↓ in the Action column.

Color Name

Click here to type in a new name for the color in that row. Note that each name must be unique.

Team Name

This is where you define pre-set teams for a setup-based scenario or board. You have to type the team name in for each row, and the text needs to match exactly for two rows to start on the same team.

In this example, there are two teams set as Captains of the West and The Eye and the Hand. Rows two and four are set to The Eye and the Hand, while rows one, three, and five are set to Captains of the West. Since the rules are set to Use team names defined in scenario and Lock player color to specified seat number, any game started on this scenario will always have 5 players, with the first player as Dwarves (yellow) on team Captains of the West, the second player as Mordor (red) on team The Eye and the Hand, the third player as Gondor (blue) on team Captains of the West, and so forth.
