There was extensive discussion about modifying CP & GR calculations:

The issues was raised because the new ranking system made it more obvious that ranks are based entirely on CP. A point was made that someone who focused on rarely played boards could earn a lot of CP and be higher ranked than someone who was quite good, but only played the most popular boards. For example. Someone ranked in the teens on WGWF, Colossal Crusade, Antastic, etc. would have 0 CP and would be a private.
