Perhaps. It's a fun board. My strategy as green is really rather weak - it all comes down to my first 3 moves. If those go my way, I do very well. If not, I get crushed.

In our shogun tournament, blue already has a citadel in the upper middle (tanji I think).

Appreciate the advice, I knew there was something findamental about the opening that I was missing.

I am also a big fan of constant card value, that makes the game a bit less reliant on luck. Can I create a version of the board with changed rules, like a mod in warfish? Or can only you do that?

love your metroid board! have you also tried it with return to attack/placement, allowing to abandon territories and in simulation mode?
