Alliances are the tool of two or more inferior players who band together so one of them can feel the thrill of an unearned victory. It doesn't bother me to lose to an alliance. It doesn't feel like a loss any more than it would feel like a win if I used one. It's just one of those events we have to accept. More than anything, it just makes a game a frustrating waste of time.
