Map section is definitely one of the huge lacking areas.

That sliding boot thing is 1) total garbage, and 2) completely unusable for the problem we're discussing.

It averages your last TEN TURNS for THAT GAME to determine your boot timer. Which is awesome for when somebody joins the site, joins your game, and then immediately falls into the abyss.  :P

I think something like it may have potential to help with the weekend thing though.

As for new players, nope, it may not help with that.

see i read that different. if you were taking a long time then the normal boot time would weigh more heavily.

Maybe this has been suggested because I don't have time to read 7 pages of this thread but what about auto-terminating a game that more than half the players have been booted in. that way your stats don't get torpedo'd every time a bunch of reg and dumps join your public games. There are several games that just get completely jacked due to multiple boots and someone who had no chance of winning gets surrounded by neutrals of booted players and ends up winning because no one could bore through their booted people barricade to nuke their continents soon enough.
