I think I suggested this a few years ago. I'd also be happy with just collapsing all the fogged turns, and have one turn that says (82 fogged turns) or something.

It would be practical, sure.
As for history, it works for me except immediately after finishing games when it's often temporarily broken. I believe this was deliberated in another recent discussion

There are certain boards -- Ravenloft in particular -- for which the history seems consistently broken.

Yes - I had forgotten that and we just started a tourney there. I went to look at the history and blah - I remembered that's the main reason I don't enjoy playing those boards.
