Can you explain what you think is "stupid" about it? This is a site that inflicts NO advertising whatsoever on you. Its owner has and continues to put in countless hours and no doubt a fair amount of money to maintain it.  When players begin to use features that indicate that they play regularly, I would contend it might be "stupid" NOT to require a membership fee to use those non-essential features.  $30/yr is a pittance when you consider how many hours of unfettered access it gives us. You can't get in and out of a movie theater with a drink and a box of popcorn for that kind of money.

For sure. If it is older than 24 hours, no one will see it again. Makes it hard to have much of a conversation. I think reddit has so much wasted potential. Good discussions start, but trail off after a
