    Each November I think about the day that tom (aka Kobra Kai) dropped the bomb that he had been creating a new Risk site. Crazy to think that it has been a full 10 years now! (Actually 10+ now since I'm a few weeks late!)

    Cheers to tom for keeping it running and to all the designers and players for it still going too!

    and here I didn't get anything for our anniversary!

    It has been amazing that we've hung on this long. I was worried for a bit when tom started taking longer and longer to respond to things. I figured, 'oh boy, here we go again'. But to his credit, he made a stable site that doesn't crash/break bad enough that it can't wait the few days until he gets around to it.

    It helps too that we had a really tight nit community to get us through the first few years. That community, I'm certain, helped to retain some great members that have come to play and stayed since.

    I did hear recently that there's been an uptick in play on ToS, but I have no real desire to go there.  

    I'm a man.
    But I can change,
    if I have to,
    I guess...

    Tom has done a wonderful job with the site.

    It's only 8 years for me on the site - wish I would have joined from the outset as others were pushing me to do, instead of being stubborn and trying to stick it out on WF for another 2 years.  But, hindsight is 20/20. {#emotions_dlg.blush}

    Did the guy running it (I don't remember his name) ever come back?  I'm sure I've got broken games there still waiting to get fixed. But I'm also sure I don't even remember my login.

    Thanks for keeping the lights on, Tom!  I somehow got introduced to WF in college and switched over pretty quickly to WarGear for private games only but have enjoyed switching to public in the past couple of years.  Keep up the good work!
