I was doing a little research related to the 17D v 20D discussion on the D&D thread and I just wanted to confirm that I'm using it correctly. Sometimes it crashes when I use certain values, and that makes me I may be filling it out incorrectly.
Do the values input below simulate an attack (to the death), where the attacker starts with 4 units and the defender has 2? (with abandon OFF).
And what's up with this??
Shouldn't it be 117%? I.e. in the ball park of 6v6?
Why would it be 117% for d17 vs d20? It's d18 vs d20 that resembles d6 vs d6. d17 vs d20 will naturally be worse for attacker.
Thanks, don't know why I was thinking it was d17 vs d20. I just wanted to verify that there's effectively no difference between d18 vs d20 and d6 vs d6. Which makes me wonder, why bother to use it considering that it will likely confuse some players?
I don't think anyone is going to use it. Thingol tried it not knowing then it was virtually equal to d6 vs d6, but changed to d17 vs d20 which is different.

Using it because the board is using a D20, for the D&D theme. Duh!
Also 18v20 instead of 6v6 gives you a lot finer control over attack/defense bonuses.

Yes, that's right M57. I know it's confusing, but let me know if you can think of a way to make it more clear.

Yes! I realized this also when I was recently using it. For me it wasn't working with low # of units (can't remember if it was on attack or defense). I didn't have time to debug it yet.
I feel reduced pain with the bigger di numbers.....push less.....

Of course!
