I entered vacation mode a couple of weeks back and got "semi-skipped" in all games where I went over three days. Ticker just said someone was skipped, not me specifically. And I could take my turn in all of them. So no harm done there. Looked odd, though.

Had an issue and used "websitedown" to check the site. When it came back up noticed your skip on the ticker. I have seen these same circumstances before, brief outage (tested) followed by skips of people listed on vacation. Not sure how it's related, but I have seen it too many times now for it to be a coincidence?
Yeah, it only happens if there's an outage. Adding to this, if I try to use the site during an outage, usually my premium goes away and all my settings used to revert to their default value. The last time this happened, yesterday or something, I did not get the settings reset though (maybe Tom is starting to fix it?), only the premium status going away. The premium bug is fixed by clearing cache in the profile.
I do not see it happening in every outage, though. I'm guessing it actually happens to everyone always but the premium status is automatically recovered most of the times, though too late to prevent the skips.

Well, given the outage has been happening every single day* for many many months, getting skipped "only" when there is a outage isn't too comforting.
Daily 10am-11:10am CET. For about 70 minutes. Daily without any exception.
My semi skips weren't during the 10-11 outages but well ahead of them. As in between half and hour and an hour.

I wasn't trying to minimise the problem. Just trying to pinpoint it.

There are smaller outages outside of the "scheduled" one sometimes.
Booted/skipped in three more games
I was "semi-skipped", as Litotes said, in almost all of my games, but I was actually skipped in 5 of them. The history log in actually says that I was skipped twice in the same turn on 4/5 of them. And all of the skips happened at 05:17 EST on 11/22, except for 1 skip which happened at 04:21 EST on 11/25.
Here is a sample of the history log:
700 AfroDaby started turn 19 Nov 2017 2:9:34
701 AfroDaby skipped turn 22 Nov 2017 5:17:35
702 AfroDaby skipped turn 22 Nov 2017 5:17:35
703 AfroDaby ended turn 22 Nov 2017 5:17:35
704 AfroDaby ended turn 22 Nov 2017 5:17:35

These have been reverted.

I've reverted yours too MB.
Re: site performance issue - I'm still not much closer to finding out why this is happening. Best guess is it's an issue with the hosting provider, something outside of the server on which WG is hosted.
I'm going to try migrating to a new, higher spec server with the same provider. If that doesn't work, it will be another migration to a new provider which I am keen to avoid if possible!
I have also added some boot / skip protection when the server load is high which will hopefully prevent these incorrect boots.
Once again apologies to everyone, I know this is frustrating.
No worries tom! Thanks for everything you do for us!
