    hi all

    Apologies for the recent outage - our DNS name server provider, ChangeIP.com suffered a catastrophic database failure on Sunday at 2pm EST. This meant there was no way for anyone trying to access WarGear.net from determining the site's IP address.

    I disabled autoboots shortly after being notified of this event so no-one should have been booted as a result. I'll reset turn timers and re-enable autoboot at 2pm EST on Wednesday to give sufficient time for everyone to get access again.

    so what about real time games... Just realized that in a real time game the other player went offline and his turn won't skip. lol

    ah, good point about RT games.

    i think last time this happened RT games were suspended until the timer was turned back on; so would you rather do without or deal with the wait until it's your turn?

    I'm getting the DNS error only at my office but nowhere else, is there a possibility our IP was blocked accidentally?  We do have multiple players in the office, perhaps it flagged something?

    Have boots been re-enabled?  I have days-old RT games that my opponents have abandoned, so I'm checking to make sure when boots are re-enabled so I don't get booted myself.

    should be turned back on -- according to tom's post 2PM EST today.

    it looks like it's ticking in my games. i'm wondering if it is either a different set of logic of the RT games? or maybe it only applies for new games?

    I've noticed the same thing. I am afraid the boot will be turned on for my real time game and I won't be on and get booted :( Wish there was a work around. Maybe turn it into a 1 day turn or something.
