    hi all

    The new server is ready to be commissioned - here's the plan for the migration:

    Wednesday 11th May @ 2pm EST

    • Creating new Realtime / Fischer clock games will be disabled (no realtime / Fischer games can be created.
    • All existing Fischer / realtime games in join phase will be deleted.

    Thursday 12th May @ 4am EST

    • Game engine paused
    • Logins disabled
    • Suspend autoboot / skip 
    • Data copy starts (delta from existing copy)
    • Final database backup taken and transfer to new server
    • DNS switchover to new server

    Friday 13th May @ 4am EST

    • Reset all turn timers.
    • Re-enable autoboot / skip
    • Enable logins
    • Enable game engine

    Hopefully the cutover to the new server will be completed by around midday. Any questions (or suggestions) please ask!

    so find something else to do Thurs & Fri (if all turn timers will get reset from the pause).

    Sooooo, quality time with my DVR Thurs & Fri (read purge) and starting Saturday no more swearing at the witching hour while trying to complete turns, got it!!
