This is the official voting thread for the Summer/Fall 2015 contest. Here is the official wiki page:
http://www.wargear.net/wiki/doku.php?id=designer_workshop:map_making_contest:summerfall15_contest
--------
All maps which were released between July 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015 inclusive are eligible for this contest unless they are part of a themed map-making contest. The rules for the contest can be found on the main page for all wargear mapmaking contests
Only three contestants this time:
You must have played all three maps to vote. Vote by ranking the maps in any manner. You don't have to rank all the boards (i.e. if you just had a top 2, that is ok too) - ties are ok. Mapmaking contestants can vote, and can vote for their own board, but must vote all 3 positions if they vote. Full details at the rules link above.
I really screwed up the scheduling on this. Usually we would already be done with voting. Since I want to give everyone time to play these maps, let's make the voting deadline about 3 months from now - end of July .

Open games for those looking to play before voting:
Big team game started on HexVoid: http://www.wargear.net/games/join/503937
Big game on Capital Crusade: http://www.wargear.net/games/join/503938
Small round-robin tournament on Dolmabahce Sarayi: http://www.wargear.net/tournaments/view/1992
Thanks for starting those up Kjeld!
Personally, I think all of these are great maps. I'm ranking them in order of personal preference, and incidentally, how well I do on them. I think Dolmabahce is the most unique board, I just suck at it as it goes against my natural gaming aggressive play (though I play a fullback in RL soccer, so you'd think I knew something about defensive playing). Capital Crusade wins for me through because I just enjoy playing it, more so than most boards I've played on WGW.
1. Dolambache
2. Capital Crusade
3. HexVoid
arg. This one was tough. All quality maps. But I like em unique. So there you go.
Great Job all Map Makers!
Here is another on HexVoid, since the big team game is taking a while to fill:
1. Capital Crusade
2. Dolambache Sarayi
3. Hex Void
Capital crusade: I think it has the best graphic, and it is very fun to play.
Dolmabache: Very unique board (perhaps the most unique board on this site), but games tend to get boring because of the defense favored dice. Also, the balance isn't quite right on FS scenario. Last time I counted, 23 games were won by players to start first, out of 34.
Hex void: Too normal for me.
Honored to be part of this. Glad people are enjoying CC.
1. Dolambache Sarayi
2. Capital Crusade
3. Hex Void
Great maps, I love the top two, but gonna have to go with the unique gameplay of Dolmabahce. Well done Kjeld
1. Hex Void -- apparently I'm one of the few who enjoys this the most of the three!
2. Capital Crusade -- pretty close for me between the top two, but although CC plays well enough, i just like HV better.
3. DS (not going to try to spell it!) -- beautiful board and was an interesting take on a new style of play; but one i'm either bad at, or don't fully comprehend. overall, it's just not as much fun for me.
1. Hex void
2. CC
3. DS
Tie for 1st - HV and CC.
3rd - DS (really, this is a beautiful board, but the game-play just doesn't do it for me.)
1. Cc
2. Hv
3. Ds
Not sure if this still counts:
1. Capital Crusade - I've had the most fun with this one. Really enjoy the capitals, artillery, dice mods, and choke points. Interesting to play without being overly complicated.
=2. HexVoid - Nice plain board. Good mix of open spaces and choke points. Works well with large numbers of players.
=2. Dolmabahce Sarayi - Interesting, unique board. Counterintuitive gameplay.
Korrun - can't believe you resurrected this today. I was just last night trying to get some updates posted regarding the various map contests. Hopefully tonight or at least soon there will be some more info.
Finally totaled up the votes. Close race & great job everyone. Very nice maps all around.

Voting thread for the themed maps will be coming soon.
I felt like the director of an art house film at the Oscars going head-to-head with blockbusters from Christopher Nolan and JJ Abrams =)
But seriously, great job BenedictArnold and Dilos Jaarliik -- very impressive first boards!

Yeah, too bad there is not a 'most innovative' category.
