Seems to imply this takes place immediately - is this true? You don't wait until your next turn? Or even the end of your turn?
Some of them, yeah.
It's kind of jarring - cause the game terminates (ends as you the winner) but it doesn't tell you anything.
Particularily with territory count: get 37 territories - then bang - done.

I thought you got the same win message as if you capture the final territory in a regular game?
I'm pretty sure I've always gotten a win message on boards like Dolmabahce Sarayi and Seven Redux
One of my boards, Quantum Entanglement is weird too. With QE, the way the win mechanism works is a factory takes the win condition at the beginning of your turn. Only thing is - you have to start your turn. It's just a bit awkward.
Yes. That ending is a little bit clunky. A 'Capture Continent' win condition would clean that up nicely.

Not exactly - there are TWO continents, capturing either of which wins you the game.
