Help! The history is not working for me!
In these games:
http://www.wargear.net/games/player/429391?player=flash
http://www.wargear.net/games/player/428575?player=flash
So far...
Looking at games where it is not my turn yet as well, it seems it is for all my antastic games... Let me try clearing the cache?
Which did not work... Please help!
DITTO to berickf other than the games identified...
Tried a different computer, different browsers and flash and native. Same results.
It's working in the Native player - can you use that for now whilst I investigate?
It's not working in the native player for me.
Not working for my games on invention board as well. Both players. Though not my turn in those yet.
Very odd - I double checked the Native player and history is definitely working fine. Still working on the Flash player.
I've tracked down the bug and fixed it. It affected any games where the turn was taken in the last few hours. I'll try and fix games retrospectively now.
As soon as a new turn is taken it should fix itself for any affected games.
Thanks Tom. So for my (and others) affected games where it is our turn, we need to take a blind turn to fix them or the history will come back as you correct retrospectively?
Should we post any affected games here, or just be patient?
You should be able to view it in the Native player, if not you can go via the History Log viewer.
I played the first two blind because I already had an insurmountable leads... But, another turn just came up a couple minutes ago in this one: http://www.wargear.net/games/player/429530
Both the flash AND NATIVE histories still not working. What do you mean when you say I can go via the history log viewer because for this one it is imperative I get the history working before I play it.
Same here with: http://www.wargear.net/games/player/421550.
Thanks!
Ok, this is odd. I got the native history to work, but, I had to set my default player to native before it would...
Yikes! Thanks for the reminder of how terrible native is. Please fix flash quickly!
What don't you like about it?
Something is still off. History is not working for me in this game: http://www.wargear.net/games/player/429134 with either player. I have Native set as default. In the native player, if I switch to log only view I can see some of the initial board setup steps, but that's it. Interestingly, I could see more when I first tried it while the first player was taking his first turn.
As you say, the whole log is visible in the plain log viewer (http://www.wargear.net/games/player/429134), but I really miss the board view.
Ditto'd all. History WORKS... but I have to start from turn #1 and scroll through 1 by 1. Can't jump around by turns or choose a turn to look at. Pretty rough to play some turns without it.
The history viewer in native appears to be working for any games where it is not my turn, but not working for games where it is my turn.
And berickf, you should be able to still use the log found on the main page for the game: http://www.wargear.net/games/log/429530

Woi... So many things. First it's really slow to load and looks clunky. The graphics are less smooth then with flash. So the aesthetics are off from the get go. Then, for usability, it does all kinds of odd things. The game I played last night with native, for instance, when I went to the history it didn't play from the beginning of the game. First it showed the board, then it erased the board, then it repopulated the board territories as they were first displayed, then it populated the territories with one, then two, then three troops, then the game start finally happened and I could see my opponents moves. It shows a lot of stuff it doesn't have to. In a large player game, or a large board or a board with a lot of complicated off board mechanisms, I don't even want to imagine how much gibberish might potentially be tracked onto such a game's history!

Also, the board layer does not show the antastic borders over the fill layer, so, all ones connected territories just look like one big fill with numbers scattered around it.
